Amendment I

This is the first Amendment to the Bill of Rights. This document states that you have five freedoms that are protected. These include the freedom of religion, freedom of assembly, freedom of petition, freedom of press, and freedom of speech.
Amendment II

Amendment two states that all citizens have the right to bare arms. What that means is anyone owns the right to have a gun as long as it is not used to commit a crime.
Amendment III

No solider may enter a home of the people unless asked upon. This amendment was brought up before the revolutionary war, this is an important part of the document to the colonists.
Amendment IV

Amendment four states that no one may search your home or property without a warrant. If wished upon, the government can get a warrant only if they state what they are looking for and what items or property they are searching.
Amendment V

This amendment describes what would happen to accused criminals. The government must follow clear rules of the judicial branch. In this amendment, no self incrimination is allowed.
Amendment VI

The sixth amendment explains the rights in a criminal trail. Everyone has the right to a speedy public trail, right to know the charges against them, right to an attorney, and the right to hear and question the witnesses. This part of the Bill of Rights is important because without this, these people would not have many freedoms.
Amendment VII

This amendment describes how there is a value of over $20 jury trial allowed. What this means is that a judge cannot be persuaded in court. If someone were to do so, they would be kicked out of the court.
Amendment VIII

Amendment eight states that the government is not allowed to give cruel and unusual punishment. What this means is if not stated in the constitution, the government prohibits these types of punishments. No excessive bails can be given as well.
Amendment IX

Not a lot of people recognize amendment nine in the Bill of Rights. This amendment explains that citizens have rights outside of the Constitution. What that means is we have rights to do things even if they are not written in the Constitution or another document.
Amendment X

Amendment number ten protects the rights of states and the citizens under the government. This means that states may if desired add more laws to their land. This is the last amendment to the bill of rights.
